“Taste a territory” is the phrase that has always accompanied Foresteria La Merlina. Not a slogan, but a precise choice: there is no fixed menu, because in the kitchen you bring what the garden, the farm and the surrounding farms have the best at that time.

This lunch is the most complete experience to understand it. Five courses that tell the story of the Tortona Hills from start to finish: vegetables from the garden, meat from pigs raised in the wild 700 meters from the structure, cheeses such as Montebore, honey from bees that collect pollen from the Foresteria meadows. Each dish combined with an own-produced wine — Pietranera labels — chosen by Marco to accompany what's on the plate.

It's the type of lunch you can't find following a printed menu, because it changes every week, every season. The common thread is always the same: nothing that doesn't come from here, nothing that isn't worth bringing to the table.
