Tasting Our Own Production Wines

Foresteria La Merlina was born in the Piedmontese Apennines 550 meters above the sea, between Val Curone and Val Borbera. Marco and Luciana have built something rare here: a place where everything you eat and drink comes from this land, often from these very hands.

This tasting is a first taste of what it means. Three wines from the Pietranera label — Merlina's own production — accompanied by a platter of our own cured meats: salami aged for up to twelve months in the ancient stone cellars of our valleys, copa and giarolino. Animals raised in the wild a few steps from here, among pristine meadows and woods.

The visit to the vineyard closes the circle: walking through the rows to understand where what you have in your glass comes from, and what it really means to cultivate a grape like Timorasso in these hills.
